Privacy Policy for DishMarket

This Privacy Policy describes how ArnoHealth S.L. ("we", "us", "our") handles information in connection with the DishMarket mobile application (Bundle ID: org.onmedic.dishmarket, referred to as the "App").
1. Photos and on-device recognition
With your permission, the App can use the camera or photo library so you can select an image of food. The image is analysed locally on your device. We do not upload, receive, view, store, or share your photos or recognition results on our servers.
Temporary images created with the in-app camera are deleted when you leave the analysis flow or close the App. Images selected from your photo library remain under your control in the library and are not modified by DishMarket.
2. One-time model download
To enable local recognition, the App downloads the SmolVLM model files from Hugging Face over an encrypted connection. This request does not contain your photos, recognition results, recipe activity, contacts, or advertising identifiers. As with any internet request, Hugging Face and network providers may process standard technical connection data, such as an IP address and request time, under their own policies. 3. Local app data
The food catalogue, recipes, downloaded model files, and technical app data are stored locally on your device. DishMarket has no account system, cloud synchronization, advertising, analytics, crash-reporting service, or tracking technology. We do not sell or use personal data for marketing.
4. Device permissions
Camera and photo-library access are requested only when needed for the feature you choose. You can manage these permissions at any time in your device settings. The catalogue can be browsed without granting either permission.
5. Retention and deletion
Because we do not collect App data on our servers, we do not retain it. You can remove downloaded model files and other local App data by uninstalling DishMarket or clearing its storage through your device settings.
6. Children's privacy
DishMarket does not knowingly collect personal data from children. The App has no account, social features, advertising, or behavioural tracking.
7. Your data-protection rights
If you are in the European Economic Area, you may have rights under the GDPR, including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and complaint to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD). Since DishMarket does not send your App data to us, local data is controlled directly through the App and your device.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy if DishMarket's functionality or legal requirements change. The current version and its update date will remain available at this URL.
